New Mixtape: Chris Webby – Bars On Me

As I said before I am going to make some posts that aren’t exactly new, but need to be made regardless.  This is another of such posts.  Chris Webby dropped Bars On Me just about a month ago, but it has already garnered over 166,000 downloads on Datpiff, making it his most downloaded mixtape yet.  This project is a huge step for Webby.  Lyrically it is some of his best work to date and plus he got it hosted by the infamous DJ Drama gaining it a Gangsta Grillz title.  Webby does it again in this project and still does it his own way.  With tracks like Bowser where Webby compares his place in the game to that of one of the baddest bosses in history all while sampling in Bowser sounds from SNES and N64 days.  Also, the track Fragile Lives takes a sample from a popular Offspring song and makes it into a passionate hip-hop song.  This is truly a classic for Chris Webby and could just be the next shove he needs into becoming one of the big guns in the game.
