In it’s tenth running year, Rock the Bells looks to celebrate a decade of music with one of the most epic lineups of the summer.  Highlights include Kendrick Lamar, Bone Thugs, Jurassic 5, and the entire Wu-Tang Clan.  Not to mention what looks to be the next virtual hologram rap performance from ODB and Eazy-E.  The internet almost broke after the Tupac hologram from last year’s Coachella, only time will tell what’s in store for Rock The Bells 2013!

Event Recap: Dreams Come True Tour feat. Meek Mill & Ace Hood – House Of Blues Boston

[Editor's Note: This review was supposed to go up last week at the latest but with all the happenings in my home of Boston last week I was a tad preoccupied. Sue me.]

Ace Hood and Meek Mill kicked off their Dreams Come True Tour in Boston, MA on April 4th and the House of Blues was certainly turned up for the occasion.  After an opening act from Lil Snupe to get the crowd hyped, Ace Hood took the stage and began firing off some of his hits. Ace got the crowd moving with his old school collab hits like Out Here Grindin, his mixtape hits like Goin Down off Starvation 2, and hits from his older albums like Go n Get It.  He also tore the house down when he dropped his newest single, Bugatti featuring Future and that was possibly the loudest the crowd got.

Meek hit the stage to an incredible ovation with his DJ and a couple sets of keys behind him for some live action beats.  Meek got the crowd hyped with his usual “turn up” tracks like Young n Gettin It, Believe It, Face Down Ass Up, and his intro track off Dreams & Nightmares which is one of the hottest intros to an album ever.  However, Meek wasn’t afraid to turn down a little, if you will, and perform some of his more poignant tracks like Used To Be A Used To and Traumatized which speak volumes of his struggle before his success.  Meek took some time during the show to just have the DJ break it down and play some hits like Started From The Bottom, Bitches Love Me, I Don’t Like, Meek also brought Ace Hood back out on stage showing lots of love for the MC and called him at one point one of the most underrated rappers in the game.  After he welcomed Ace back on stage he had him perform his new single Bugatti for the second time and the crowd was possibly the most turnt up it was all night! Check out the footage below!

Finally, Meek closed out the show by thanking the fans, his team, Ace Hood, and everyone that made the night possible.  He spoke of his struggle as a youth and what it took to get from the bottom to where he is right now.  He thanked God and expressed his faith to the crowd and led it all perfectly into his hit single Amen with his man behind him playing the beat live action on the keyboards after a long intro during Meek’s speech.  It was truly an epic show and it is safe to say the Dreams Come True Tour was officially kicked off with authority!

Exclusive Video: Meek Mill Brings Out Ace Hood – House of Blues Boston

Here’s the first of the videos we’ll be posting from last Thursday night’s show featuring Meek Mill and Ace Hood as they kicked off the Dreams Come True Tour.  More videos of both Ace and Meek’s performances to come but first I had to post possibly the most turned up moment of the night and that’s when Meek brought Ace back out to perform his new single Bugatti one more time. Keep it locked for more footage from this night!

Video: Odd Future Live on Letterman

Tyler, The Creator returned to the late night scene, performing on Letterman with his Odd Future buddies, Domo Genesis and Earl Sweatshirt. While promoting his new album, Wolf, Tyler and friends vented on track 14, “Rusty.” David Letterman was left offended and then forced to pose for pictures. Nicely done!

Freestyle Friday: Kendrick Lamar Halloween Freestyle

Kendrick Lamar dropped by the studios of K104 in Dallas on Halloween and dropped a freestyle for the radio and even works in the words that they throw at him. It’s dope to see a legit off-the-top freestyle from one of the best rappers in the game right now.

New Video: Mac Miller – Fun is 4 Everyone – Our First Time in Europe Part Deux

Mac Miller giving us an inside look at his time over in Europe while on tour about a year ago around the time his debut album, Blue Slide Park, was being released.  Just like most of Mac Miller’s videos, there is plenty nonsense and Mac just having fun being a kid and a rapper (at the same damn time).  In case you missed it, here’s what the first part looked like in a video that Mac dropped late last year.

New Video: Wiz Khalifa’s DayToday – Europe Part 2

Wiz Khalifa drops his newest edition of DayToday as he brings his antics to Europe and there’s even a cameo from J. Cole.  These webisodes are still the most entertaining on the internet and Wiz is certainly still having fun with what he’s doing.  Watch as he performs, gets drunk, drunk dials Curren$y, demands McDonald’s, and more.  Also, keep your ears perked for a previewed O.N.I.F.C. track towards the end.
