New Video: Eminem Confirms Slaughterhouse at Summer Jam, Beginning Work on New Album

Well the title of this post really says it all here.  Peter Rosenberg takes a call from hip hop mogul, legend, God, Eminem who says he has talked with the dudes of Slaughterhouse and they will be performing at the 2012 Summer Jam at Met Life stadium.  Em also takes a quick moment to say that he is finishing up Slaughterhouse’s debut album Welcome to: Our House and is in the beginning stages of recording his new solo album.  The thought of a new solo Em record is always enough to get me excited.

New Video: Don King Announces Release Date for DJ Khaled’s ‘Kiss The Ring’

One of the best promoters of all time is back to promote Khaled’s newest colossal album of the summer.  Everything about this album has more of a feel of a film than an album.  That’s usually always the case when dealing with WTB, MMG, YMCMB.

Rick Ross Announces Signing Omarion, ‘God Forgives, I Don’t’ Release Date at MMG Press Conference

Plenty of hip hop heads were in attendance in NYC yesterday afternoon for the MMG press conference.  Many were asking, “why a press conference?”  Just like everything MMG does, it has a big time feel.  The videos on YouTube look more like mini-movies and trailers, album releases are on par with movie premiers, and it only seemed appropriate to dish out a mass amount of news at a press conference.  The names at this press conference certainly are among the wealthiest in hip-hop, with Ross, Diddy, and Swizz Beatz on stage at the same time before they are joined by Wale, Meek Mill, and French Montana.  Stalley was absent due to his current tour overseas in Europe.

The pinnacle of the press conference certainly came with the announcement of Maybach Music’s newest signee Omarion (or his new alias, Maybach O).  Omarion can certainly bring the smooth R&B feel to MMG’s music to bring them to a new level.  Rick Ross also announced the release date for his highly anticipated, highly delayed, new album God Forgives, I Don’t.  This monumental album has officially been set to drop July 31st of this summer.  This should be a huge album and I wouldn’t be surprised of another delay, but usually the setting of a date means the songs are recorded and done minus the legality bullshit.  French Montana also made a late appearance announcing his debut album, Excuse My French,  will be dropping July 17th and will be executively produced by both Rozay and Diddy.
