Nate Dogg Passes Away at the Age of 41
Today is a sad, sad day for hip-hop fans, as Nate Dogg, the king of “hooks” has passed away at the age of 41. Attorney Mark Geragos said Nate Dogg, whose real name was Nathaniel D. Hale, died Tuesday of complications from multiple strokes. Nate Dogg played an instrumental role in anchoring some of rap’s most groundbreaking songs and defining the sound of West coast hip-hop. The tone of Nate’s voice was at times menacing, playful, yet always charming. He provided just the right touch on every track including 50 Cent’s “21 Questions,” Dr. Dre’s “The Next Episode” and countless others. Hip-Hop would not have been the same with him! R.I.P.
