New Mixtape: Game – California Republic

The Game is back and has released his first project since last summer when he dropped his incredible LP The R.E.D. Album.  There have been tracks leaking like crazy from this album this whole week which was clearly just a some slight promotion for it’s release.  It feels like this mixtape was dropped out of no where considering there were no promotions or countdowns on any mixtape sites.  Regardless it’s here now and with different artwork than originally anticipated.  It’s also packed with 24 tracks which is twice as long than some projects other rappers drop.  And with features from Ace Hood, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Busta Rhymes, Fabolous, Pharrell, and Snoop Dogg, this mixtape is impossible to ignore.  Turn this one up for the weekend!

Game’s “R.E.D. Album” to be Released in August

Over the past 2 years, Game has been working hard on his highly anticipated R.E.D. Album. Recently the Compton native revealed that Interscope Records will release the album in August. For all those West Coast hip-hop fans, Dr. Dre is one of several super producers working on the project. In an interview with MTV News, Game stated that the N.W.A. legend would not only rap on the album, but also oversee the entire project. Other producers working on the album include Pharrell, Cool & Dre, Hit-Boy, Maestro and Lex Luger. In anticipation of the release, Game has shot a music video for the single “Red Nation” featuring Lil Wayne. The album has a lot of potential and if it bangs as hard as everyone thinks, 2011 may be the rebirth for West Coast hip-hop!
